Since Ho Tram is the closest and nicest beach destination for people from HCM, Ho Tram is increasingly becoming the second home destination for the wealthy from HCM, or Saigon’s Beach Paradise. Ho Tram is rapidly becoming a weekend and summer home destination for the wealthiest and most travelled families from Ho Chi Minh. The wealthy typically have more money than they have time, so Ho Tram will become an increasingly attractive destination over time for week-end and summer homes. It is expected that in the next 5 years, most wealthy families from HCM will have a second home in Ho Tram for the enjoyment of family, friends and employees. Over the longer term, Ho Tram will also become a retirement destination for the wealthy from HCM.

In all places around the world, most people buy weekend homes and summer homes, or second homes, in locations that are within a 2 hours drive. If a family wants to go most weekends or summers – then the convenience of the drive-to destination becomes critical. Ho Tram’s short distance allows people to come anytime, leave anytime, and at almost no cost of transport for family, friends and colleagues. For a second home that is 2 hours drive away, you may go there 20 times a year – so it becomes a true second home – which makes sense to buy. For a destination that you have to fly to, you may go there 2 or 3 times a year – so it is generally better to rent. Also, once you get on a plane – it takes about the same amount of time to fly to most parts of Southeast Asia, like Phuket, Singapore, or Bangkok.

Ho Tram currently has many villas and some condo hotels. Most Villa owners in good projects in Ho Tram are the wealthiest and most travelled people in Vietnam. They understand the luxury lifestyle. Over time as more people become wealthy, and have nice cars, and as HCM becomes more crowded and has more pollution, the demand for weekend homes and summer homes in Ho Tram will increase significantly. In the next 5 years – most families who have the means to own a second home, will have a second home in Ho Tram. With this increasing demand, with limited beach front land, properties should increase over time. So Ho Tram provides not just great use for the family, but a good investment, especially in well designed projects. Additionally the Long Thanh International Airport will significantly increase tourism demand, thereby increasing occupancy and rates over time, which should increase investment yields.

The first phase of the new airport is expected to be completed and opened by 2026/2027. Upon its completion the infrastructure around the new airport to connect to the major towns in South Vietnam will improve significantly, including new roads and expanded highways. Ho Tram is expected to benefit greatly since it will be only 40 minutes from the new airport with another highway and roads being added from the airport to Ho Tram. With a 40 minute drive, Ho Tram will become an international destination, which will rapidly grow international tourism – along with real estate prices.
